Saeideh’s research interests lie primarily in application of machine learning in
neuroscience. After completing her bachelor in electrical engineering, regarding her
intrinsic interest in medical science and has an engineering background, she pursued her
Master’s studies in biomedical engineering and her thesis subject was ‘decoding of
different states of visual attention in EEG using cross frequency approaches’. After her
graduation, she worked as a researcher in Neuroscience & Neuroengineering research
lab, Iran University of Science and Technology. During this time, she has completed a
number of investigations on different topics, such as visual attention, cross-frequency
coupling, working memory, and automatic diagnosis of brain abnormalities. Her
achievements are gathered in different international publications. She began her PhD in
September 2020 in neuroscience at University of Montreal under supervision of Professor
Sarah Lippé. She focuses to find EEG markers best reflecting the developmental
trajectories of brain in healthy infants under 3 years-old. My highlighted papers are
“Prefrontal lesions disrupt oscillatory signatures of spatiotemporal integration in working
memory” and “Prefrontal lesions disrupt posterior alpha–gamma coordination of visual
working memory representations” in which we scrutinized the key role of prefrontal
cortex on working memory.
Saeideh had two poster presentations in Organization of Human Brain Mapping (OHBM):
- Nonlinear Features of EEG Showing Less Inter-individual Variability in Developing Brain of Infants
- EEG Repetition and Change Detection Responses in Macrocephaly: A Multivariate Pattern Analysis
